Deep Tissue.

Deep tissue massage relieves pain and treats muscle tensions in the body, a form of massage that focuses on the lower layers of fascia and muscle tissue. 

Through slow strokes and concentrated pressure on areas of hypertension in muscles fibres, tendons and fascia (the connecting tissue), held tensions are released. Breaking down and aiding realignment of scar tissue, returning fibers and associated tissue to full resting length, reducing inflammation and increasing blood flow to help muscles heal.

Thai massage uses stretching, rocking, pulling and pressure techniques to relieve tension, promote relaxation and improve flexibility and circulation.

Thai massage focuses on improving the flow of the 10 major energy lines throughout the body. Traditionally practiced on the floor fully clothed and is often referred to as assisted yoga. It can be applied to the massage table and in combination with other massage techniques dependant on the needs of the body.

Thai Massage originated in India 2,500 years ago with influences from Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.

Thai Foot Massage.

Thai Foot massage works on similar principles as Reflexology covering the feet and the lower leg. Pressure is applied on specific reflex points on the feet to stimulate the internal organs, encouraging the body and mind to return back to balance. This treatment is a wonderful stress reliever promoting deep relaxation.

Reiki.

Reiki is often described as hands-on-body healing in which a practitioner places hands on a patient’s body to facilitate the patient’s process of healing. It was developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui.

Reiki aids relaxation and assists in the body’s natural healing processes. Supporting emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
